The 5 D's Of Dodgeball

Role: Level Designer, Blueprint Programmer

When I made this game, I started with a basic Unreal engine first-person shooter build; from there, I was taught how to create a split-screen game with multiple spawn points.

 

My own individual learning was that I learnt how to make a timer and have a system that can keep the score of the winner. I also added a cel shade texture to the ball so you can constantly see where it is. I also created all the obstacles and ramps using the cube grid tool.

 

I also lit the level and added a visual effect that is played when the ball hits the wall or floor. Once the ball bounces around, it can be picked up and shot again. Finally, I allowed the player to sprint and slide.
